WW6. 172 Industrial Pretreatment & Stormwater Control

This is the beginning of a sequence of classes dealing with wastewater treatment and stormwater control. This course covers the monitoring, regulation, and treatment of industrial wastewater discharges into public treatment systems. The second focus of this course is the collection and handling of stormwater in public treatment systems.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
The students will be able to identify and understand the state and federal regulatory requirements covering industrial pretreatment and storm water control. Students will understand the components and operational concepts of water and waste treatment systems in areas of metals, chemical, and electronics manufacture. Students will understand methods and options for handling storm water in public treatment systems.
