This course covers the structure of public government, the development and implementation of municipal governance with an emphasis on public works. Topics covered include city council government, elective official responsibilities, state and federal environmental laws and public health responsibilities.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Students will able to explain the structure of municipal government and recognize the state water quality and public health requirements that can be found for public owned treatment works and water purveyors. Studentwill be able to trace state requirements for Federal regulations for water and wastewater treatment results.
