BA 275 Business Quantitative Methods

Presents statistical analysis and quantitative tools for applied problem solving and making sound business decisions. Gives special attention to assembling statistical description, sampling, inference, regression, hypothesis testing, forecasting and decision theory.

Prerequisite: MTH 241 Calculus for Biological/Management/Social Science or MTH 251 Differential Calculus and, MTH 245 Math for Biological/Management/Social Science with a grade of C or better, and sophomore standing.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
To evaluate such daily inputs as organizational reports, newspaper and magazine articles, and the radio and television commentaries. To improve their ability to make better decisions over a wide range of topics, utilizing quantitative tools and analysis. To improve their ability to measure and cope with changing conditions by interpreting historical data in preparing reliable forecasts.
