Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Understand the components of the accounting system and how they interact. Understand the overall framework of the accounting cycle. Interpret the effect of business transactions on the accounting system. Analyze financial statements. Recognize and interpret terminology related to accounting and finance. Demonstrate ability to apply spreadsheet software to business decision making. Understand the interrelationship of accounting to other areas of business. Reconcile the difference between cash and accrual accounting measurements. Have familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles
