Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Understand differences of various facets of the U.S. swine industry. Identify swine breeds and their significance with in U.S. swine industry. Understand swine behavioral characteristic to more properly work and restrain swine with limited stress. Develop a herd health program and perform critical husbandry skills. Successfully manage nutrition and reproduction of the sheep herd. Communicate current issues facing swine producers and identify profitable marketing avenues.
