MA3. 438 Manufacturing Processes IV
This course provides training in manual machining skills at an advanced level. A series of lectures, textbook assignments and tests will be utilized. Students will complete a series of machine shop projects using manual machine tools including lathes and mills. Inspection procedures are emphasized. Quality and safety are key concepts of this course.

MA3. 397 Manufacturing Processes II and
MA3. 398 Manufacturing Processes III with a C or better.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Be able to produce quality parts that are within specified tolerances. Demonstrate considerable knowledge of industrial procedures, print reading ability and safety requirements. Understand and apply inspection processes. Be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
