Analyze African American literature through critical reading, writing, and discussion. Describe how African American culture, history, and literature explore the human condition. Recognize how African Americans experience difference, power, and discrimination. Participate in activities that encourage personal awareness, growth, and/or creativity through interactions with African American literature.
