MA3. 452 Advanced CNC Technology II

This course provides training and learning experiences in Computer Numeric Control (CNC) technology. Students will receive training on safe CNC operation skills on a number different of CNC machines and controls.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate good CNC machine operator skills. Understand and comply with safety rules and safety considerations. Use MasterCam to generate toolpaths and machine code for turning centers and vertical machining centers. Set-up fixturing for machining angular planes with a sine bar. Write machine code, set-up and run thread milling for internal and external threads. Use a turning center to perform single point internal and external threads.
