MA3. 407 Mathematics For NC Machinists
Provides mathematics training for NC machinists and programmers. Scientific calculator functions, basic algebra, right angle trigonometry, geometry and the Cartesian coordinate system as it applies to CNC machining will be covered.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Understand mathamatical notations used in technical writing. Use a scinetific calculator to perform calculations. Understand the concepts of algeba well enough to solve equations and implify mathematical expressions. Solve word problems involving proportionality. Use trigonometry to solve right triangle problems. Understand fundamental geometric constructions. Know which mathematical concepts to apply when solving NC problems.
