MA3. 438 Manufacturing Processes IV
This course provides training in manual machining skills at an advanced level. A series of lectures, textbook assignments and tests will be utilized. Students will complete a series of machine shop projects using manual machine tools including lathes and mills. Inspection procedures are emphasized. Quality and safety are key concepts of this course.

Prerequisite: MA3.396 Manufacturing Processes I, MA3.397 Manufacturing Processes II and MA3.398 Manufacturing Processes III with a C or better.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Produce quality parts that are within specified tolerances. Demonstrate considerable knowledge of industrial procedures print reading ability and safety requirements. Understand and apply inspection processes. Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
