HE 261A Cpr: Professional Rescuer

The Healthcare Provider course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device and oxygen), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Students will be able to use basic terminology. Students will recognize and individual who is in need of immediate care. Students will demonstrate the proper techniques involved in administering aid in a variety of emergency situations. Students will demonstrate proper sanitation practices to insure no transmission of communicable diseases while practicing CPR.
