Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Interpret a topographical map and plot a compass course. Identify and reproduce basic wilderness first aid. Define and describe three essential safety concepts for backpacking. Apply map and compass skills in class-based backpacking experiences.
