Introduces and develops the art and science of turf-grass culture. Grass identification and maintenance; fertilizer and water requirements; weed, insect and disease identification and control; and other turf problems are emphasized.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Factors of turf grass quality, plant structure and function, growth and development, identification and adaptation of species, responses and interaction in ecosystems, propagation and establishment of turf areas, identification of seeds and interpretation of seed labels.
