CS 227H Systems Support: Hardware

A survey of current hardware designs, components, and uses of Personal Computers (PC's), other endpoint devices, and peripherals. Emphasizes troubleshooting, problem solving, and hardware support. Assists students in preparing for the CompTIA A+ certification.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Be able to specify and choose endpoint devices and configuration to meet the needs of the enterprise. Be able to specify component assemblies for PC s optimized for various applications. Be able to assemble and configure the hardware for a PC. Be able to troubleshoot common problems encountered during setup of endpoint devices and peripherals. Be able to troubleshoot common endpoint device and peripheral hardware failures.
