Designed to teach the skills of CPR and relief of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO) for victims of all ages. It is intended for participants who may need to perform CPR or airway obstruction techniques in a wide variety of settings.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Discuss the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) systems and the citizen responder's role in the EMS system. Identify and classify signs and symptoms and care for breathing emergencies, heart attack, cardiac arrest, sudden illness, life threatening bleeding, shock and heat and cold emergencies. Demonstrate skills to care for soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries. Demonstrate how and when to move an injured victim in an emergency situation.
