WR 090 The Write Course
Introduces writing required for effective communication. This course focuses on English conventions, writing sentences, and basic paragraph writing.
Prerequisite
Prerequisite: Appropriate CPT score for writing.
Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Write paragraphs that have clear focus, adequate support, and good conclusions.Use a variety of sentence structures effectively.Edit for correctness in run-ons, fragments, commas, commonly confused words, and capitalization. Use a word processing program to produce short papers in standard MLA college format.
