Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Employ safe work practices in heat - treating, destructive testing, non-destructive testing, and metallurgy-related operations. Identify basic metallurgical principles as applicable to the type of base metal. Select correct types of welding filler metal to be used per type of base metal. Classify base metals per internal composition. Employ appropriate metallurgical principles per type of base metal.
