MT3. 830 Industrial Pneumatics Systems

Learn to analyze fundamental pneumatic schematics, how to troubleshoot common pneumatic problems, how to maintain and repair pneumatic systems used in a variety of production applications, and how to promote energy efficiency in pneumatic systems. Understanding pneumatic circuits is critical to working with all types of industrial control systems.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the operation and/or function of at least 12 basic components that comprise a pneumatic/electro-pneumatic system. Recognize and/or sketch a variety of pneumatic symbols. Develop and analyze pneumatic drawings. Construct & troubleshoot pneumatic circuits. Discuss maintenance/energy efficiency issues associated with industrial pneumatic systems.
