FW 251 Prin Of Wildlife Conservation
Introduces the relationships between the physical environment and wild animal populations. Examines the history of wildlife conservation and natural resource use, man's relationship to his natural environment, dynamics of animal populations, principles and practices of fisheries and wildlife management, and the role of wildlife biologists. College-level reading and writing strongly recommended.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Identify the basic biological parameters foundational to the conservation and management of wildlife, and predict the consequences of manipulating those parameters. Describe the public trust doctrine and apply the doctrine to current topics in conservation and management of wildlife. Describe the political institutions and the legal, social, and cultural forces, which affect the conservation and management of wildlife. Illustrate how scientific knowledge and research are used in the conservation and management of wildlife.
