WD4. 152 Welding II

Provides welding skill level required in minor industrial applications. Includes more advanced electric arc-welding and an introduction to gas-shielded arc processes (MIG and TIG), as well as lab and technical information on related welding subjects.

Prerequisite: WD4. 151 Welding I with a grade of C or better.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Safety. Set up and operate applicable SWAW, GMAW,FCAW, CTAW, plasma arc, cutting, and air carbon arc cutting and gouging equipment. Perfrom weilding in the flat position, horizontal position, vertical position and overhead position.
