Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Recognize opportunities for potential and emerging areas of practice in occupational therapy. Contribute to the development of occupation based programs for clients in community based setting. Promote occupational therapy. Advocate for consumer access to occupational therapy service. Articulate an awareness of the importance of professional research, professional literature, and the continued development of the field of occupational therapy. Follow a research protocol to ensure data is collected and information is documental in an accurate and confidential manner. identify personal and professional abilities and competencies as they relate to job responsibilities. Create a personal professional development plan to stay current on evidence based research findings and changes in standards of practice.
