Observe children in a classroom or child care environment using a variety of techniques. Focuses on using information gathered from observation to draw conclusions about children's typical development and plan appropriate curriculum activities.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Use different techniques to observe children in an educational setting. Plan appropriate teaching strategies and interactions with children based in individual needs. Plan, implement and evaluate a developmentally appropriate activity based on observations of a child. Use observation and assessment procedures to chart childrens growth, development, strengths, and areas of need.
