CEM 263 Plane Surveying

Basic course in surveying techniques. Includes distance measuring, leveling, cross sectioning, traversing, topographic surveying, use of surveying instruments, GPS, and office procedures.

Perform field work and perform office computations for stationing, leveling, cross sectioning, volumes, and grade staking. Perform field work and perform office computations for traversing and radial surveying. Describe basic GPS surveying.
