BI 121 Essentials of Human Anatomy & Physiology I

The first in a 2-course series (BI 121, BI 122) that covers the basic structures and functions of the human body. This course addresses the following body systems: skeletal, muscular, integumentary and nervous. It includes an overview of kinesiology.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the basic structures and functions of the skeletal, muscular, integumentary, and nervous systems of the human body. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the efforts of common disorders, diseases, and injuries of the human body and its major components with emphasis on the body systems covered in this course. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the principle of movement.
