Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Identify and discuss ethical dilemmas and appropriate actions. Discuss client advocacy and how to promote client rights. Discuss leadership and management skills necessary to effectively coordinate and carry out client care. Discuss unsafe practices and how to intervene appropriately (e.g., substance abuse, improper care, staffing practices, practice drift, sentinel events). Identify a variety of professional issues in current practice and how to achieve/promote positive professional outcomes. Engage in appropriate processes to achieve meaningful post-graduate employment. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of licensure and employment rights and responsibilities, legal implications of practice, continuing professional education, and ethical considerations of practice.
