MP 202 Concert Band
Concert Band is a non-auditioned traditional instrumental performance class that includes the performance of a wide range of music. Participation in the final concert is required. This ensemble is open to all members of the college community. Each level of this course can be repeated up to three times for credit.
Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate an understanding of context in a varied repertoire of music through prepared concert band performances appropriate for a second-year concert band member. Develop strategies to address technical and expressive challenges in a varied repertoire of concert band music appropriate for a second-year concert band member. Read and perform music at a level appropriate for a second-year concert band member.
