Prerequisite

CS 140U Fundamentals of Unix/Linux and CIS 152 Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials with a grade of C or better.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Configure kernel modules, network parameters, storage, and cloud and virtualization technologies. Manage software and services, explain server roles, job scheduling, and the use and operation of Linux devices. Demonstrate best practices for permissions and authentication, firewalls, and file management. Analyze system properties and processes, and troubleshoot user, application and hardware issues. Execute Bourne-Again Shell (BASH) scripts, version control using Git, and orchestration processes.
