CIS 152 Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials

This course focuses on switching technologies and router operations that support small-to-medium business networks, including wireless local area networks (WLAN) and security concepts. In this second course in a 3-course series, you’ll perform basic network configuration and troubleshooting, identify and mitigate LAN security threats, and configure and secure a basic WLAN.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Design Local Area Networks (LAN) to implement specified functions of dynamic routing and virtual LANs in both Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) and IPv6 networks. Configure routers and switches to implement dynamic routing protocols, virtual LANs and inter-VLAN routing. Troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues with dynamic routing protocols.
